An Automated ETH-Backed Trading Token
Overview
Kinetix (KX) is a next-generation ERC-20 token built on Ethereum that integrates automated trading logic directly into its smart contract design. Each KX token is minted by depositing ETH at a 1:1 ratio, effectively backing every token with Ethereum. Once minted, the token operates autonomously using Chainlink Automation and decentralized price feeds.
Problem
Manual trading is prone to emotional bias, human error, and inefficiency. While most ERC-20 tokens are passive stores of value, active trading requires off-chain bots or centralized tools, which compromise decentralization and transparency.
Solution
Kinetix offers a hybrid solution — a programmable token that combines automation with optional user control. Upon minting, a user’s ETH entry price is recorded. Chainlink oracles monitor ETH/USD price changes, and when the price increases by 0.5% or more, the contract automatically marks the position as sold. The user can then withdraw their ETH. This on-chain automation removes the need for manual decision-making while ensuring transparency.

Architecture
Built with Solidity (^0.8.7), the smart contract includes core functions such as mintWithETH(), checkUpkeep(), performUpkeep(), and withdraw(). Chainlink Automation handles monitoring and execution. All actions are transparent and verifiable on-chain.
